Many writers dream of finishing their book, publishing their book, and getting their work out into the world, but are also held back by resistance and fear. Much of the time this problem is an issue with identity. We perceive our “self” as a certain person, and to become a successful writer would threaten that identity, and our current place in our personal community and the larger world.
